been metal detecting for the last twenty years mainly for artifacts and old coins.but have been watching a few vidieos of detecting, panning, etc in australia it looks good and interesting.

Spent last night looking at YouTube videos of UK detecting rally finds, and dreaming of jumping on a plane one day.
Love to find some 2000 year old relics, but unearthing that 100000000 year old glint of gold or sapphire from the clutches of the maker is an awesome experience.
