With all due respect AA, how about adding to the thread instead of trying to take it offline. I understand you run a business so you could gain a client but keeping it on the forum can benefit others.
No worries, no offence taken!

I get where you’re coming from, and I can see how it might look that way.
But honestly, my offer to chat directly is just about helping the person out and saving us both time—nothing more, nothing less.
When I suggest a direct call (whether phone, video, or whatever suits), it’s because I can get straight to the point and figure out what they actually need—things like their experience, setup, gear, and skills. That way, I can give the right advice from the start, instead of going back and forth in a long forum thread.
By the way, I do this for anyone who reaches out to me personally if they aren't sure where to start.
My time’s limited, but if I can point someone in the right direction with a quick chat, I’d rather do that. And no, I don’t charge for it. What they do in the end is their decision not mine. I never got such an opportunity when I started out and had to learn the long and hard way.
So having said that, I actually care about doing things right—especially when it comes to helping people and prospecting legally and
staying safe out there, at all times.
A single mistake out here can have serious consequences. If you don’t know WA’s conditions, it’s easy to get lost, run out of water, or blow a heap of cash on the wrong gear. I’ve seen it happen too many times, which is why I always say:
Do it once, do it right
So, in Jacobe’s case, there’s a fair bit to go through, and rather than typing out a full-blown essay

, a quick chat just makes a lot more sense.
That’s all
