First off I just wanted to say what a fantastic forum this .
I am very new to the whole prospecting game but I can't wait to learn from you guys.
I am fortunate enough to have the next couple months off and I am thinking about packing up the camper trailer, metal detector and high banker and heading east.
Does anyone know of any training courses running on prospecting for anything from gold to sapphires and everything in between? And could anyone recommend a good place to start the search?

you will find there is lots of info and other members willing to answer your questions (no matter how small or dumb)
just remember tho only stupid question is the one you DON'T ask

you said heading east, but where are you heading from?
and where are you heading too? (state)
if you put the question out, I'm sure there are members that will meet up with you and take you around

I live in western Australia and at the moment it is way to hot to get out and do any real prospecting. I have no real plans I was thinking somewhere in NSW (hoping it wouldn't be so hot there)
