That's a lot of threepences worth of silver Heatho, what a find. Hopefully a gold bar will be on the horizon soon (unlikely)! ;)

I looked at this spot good and proper for a gold bar mate, I thought if there is a silver bar then......... :D

Todays Nox haul at the ol honey hole.

:Y: Deep silver :p :p :p

They were deep, one of those shillings was right on max detection depth and still threw a solid TDI without much drift in the numbers, the tone was barely audible.

I know I've been over this area with the CTX too..... Anyway, a different detector will probably always get some a different one couldn't, the CTX definitely got most of them. Today I also got a lot of BB's that I'd left behind with the CTX and maybe that's the reason I missed the silvers before by discriming them.

Maybe it has something to do with the Nox being slightly biased towards the low conductors, seems to help picking up deep coins on edge that were missed previously. I know the Deus has good abilites in that area, many of the coins I got last night were faint/deep on edge targets. I find that a more methodic slower coil sweep tends to isolate such targets vs the usual sweep speed which tends to not report so well on them. :)

Hit the ol honey hole today in one of trashiest areas where the CTX struggled a bit, always used to get plenty there with the CTX but the Nox is way better cherry picking in among trash like that.

Got my first Nox florin, $40 and 2 rings over 2 hours, yep you guessed it, one of the rings is another pandora. Would be nice to get something different such as another nice Georg Jensen ring. :)

The 2nd $2 coin from the left,is it the purple coronation coin?If so worth about $20.Only 1 million minted. :Y:

I reckon there's still a bit there Smoky, not as prolific with pre dec as when I first started detecting it but there are still some good finds to be had. The goldies and jewellery will just keep replenishing, in footy season there are over 1000 people there every weekend.

The Nox is great at getting into spots that the CTX has trouble with, such as next to metal drain grates, near metal seating. I got that florin right next to a drain grate yesterday, the grate would set the CTX off from a metre away. It's not that these things don't set off the Nox but it's so fast you can still hear if there is something there other than the grates. The CTX would have got most of the targets yesterday with the 10x5 coil but a few it would have struggled on. One of those rings was right next to a drain as well.

Hey Eldorado, yes it is one of the coronation coins, it's in pretty poor condition from being in the dirt though, I will pop it in the collection regardless. :Y:

Cheers fellas.

Just such a busy area GP, which is great for detecting but extremely frustrating for anything else, just going to the shops to get milk around here can be an exercise in absolute frustration, no parking, rude over-entitled people everywhere...
