Ben, were you in finegold timing with that 8" mono? I only just started using my 5000 and i have found already that, that timing seems to be more sensitive to EMI? I remember you discussing the 8x6 NF and the 8" commander was a fair bit cheaper, seems like you made the right choice in your coil, thanks roscoe.

Yep, using fine gold. I flick between it and enhance depending on the ground. There is some super variable ground up there. I need to work out what areas I can back the timings off too. Have been rewatching the JP videos and reading the manual. Sharp or Normal might get me some more depth in some of the tamer ground. I haven't noticed much change in the EMI between FG and Enhance but it might be there. Atmospherics make the biggest impact. I'm detecting at 1100m above sea level so any storm within 500km has an impact lol
