Hi all a mate who live at Guildford vic has just told me we can detect on his place shortly just trying to find out if anyone know much about the area as i cant find out a lot as to what happened there ,so i thought i would refer to the experts LOL.any info would be appreciated .

Just did a quick GeoVic map for you. The green lines are deep leads. Looks like there a few workings in the area so I would be giving it a go if I was you. You have nothing to lose but a little time.

Looks like they did a lot of dredge work in the river so there is gold there. Just dont know whether its all small stuff or nuggets were found. Maybe someone else on here knows. I wouldnt mind giving it a look though.

thanks for the map i had a good look at it and my mates place is on the the edge of the mass amount of diggings that were done, maybe there is a chance that it will be worth a very close look see lol, it :lol it will be a month or so before we can get on it as it is rented out at the moment but as soon as i can i will be there with bells on . :lol:

Yeah they got course gold there, nuggets as well as fines. A lot of old river deposits with usually heavily water worn rocks, gravels etc.

FINES on is mates place and course creek beds. New to me Been going to Guildford for years and never had any trouble with the ranges all good blokes up there.

If anything very helpful , there are more gold and digging on private land out there then on control bush.

One of the best relic location too
