Got out in the Whipstick today for a couple hours and picked up a couple little ones.

Hi Mark, Went for a little drive today to plan next Wednesday, found this nice little gully over past the last tree on the right. Picked up a few shot gun pellets and a 0.05 gram piece of colour in about an hour, the way I look at it colour is colour 
. Looking forward to Wednesday may we find heaps of colour. Cheers

Well done mate, yep color is color and may it all be yellow for you. I wonder if that was the same tree i was scouting out on Google Earth. Probably not, I think mine was the second last tree on the left.

How did you guys go in Maryborough.? ....its bloody cold out here, hope you're not in a tent!
Recently got myself a 4500 & have dug some lead but no gold
Would like to go with a fellow detectorist......bit much work on at the minute but hope to go somewhere Saturday

A really good day had by rockerfella, vicgoldhunter1 and myself in the Whipstick, freezing day and vicgoldhunter1 scored a small nugget so well done.

Cheers Chewy, Apart from the cold it was a great day meeting up with Highway and Rockerfella.
Well the trip was fantastic. Met some top blokes and thanks to Scrounger, Highway1 and Jason for a great few days. Managed to score a tiny little 0.09g fella on the Wednesday back at Amherst, thanks to Scrounger, I definitely left a heap for you mate.
Cleaned out the lead though!!
The SDC2300 took me a while to get used to but I think I got it together
In the end. Definitely getting head phones next time though.
All in all a bloody good trip and great to finally get to experience the Golden Triangle. Fascinating place.

Great to hear you got some Mark. Agree about the headphones, they definitely help in my opinion. Thanks for helping to clear some lead buddy, makes my job easier that's for sure. Give us a buzz next time you're back down, be good to catch up again.

Pic 4 - Lead and only lead from The Whipstick. At least I knew I was hearing the SDC2300 talking to me, just the wrong colour. Got 12 of these in a straight line over only 40 or 50 meters
