They reckon if you wanna try hot try the Trinidad Scorpion 'Butch T' and the Carolina Reaper. Ment to be the hottest there is. Also read that worm juice out of worm farms is the best fertilizer and makes them extra hot.

Cracka :p

I always thought the Hab's were the hottest, I obviously need to lift my game :)

What about these chilli's ? lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrBmUbujKLY

Hey Isolation, Love that Homer and the chilli episode. A couple of years ago a mate bought around a bag of approximately 200 little red birdseye chillis. We put the whole lot in a big blender and blended with a packet of pine nuts, juice of 10 lemons, some garlic and added olive oil as we blended. It came out looking like salmon dip. You only had to put 1/2 teaspoon in a big pot of whatever you were cooking and it heated it right up. Well i tried to taste enough to coat the end of your finger and after 10 mins it was extremely hot. I was sweating, could hardly breath and when i stood up to go to the sink for a water it felt like i was floating a foot off the kitchen floor and i was so dizzy. Really trippy experience.

Time to keep an eye on the tommies and caps this humidity after the long dry is a challenge. Bloody nice to see Vico getting some wet though.

I Dabble a little in the art of green thumb,....Icecream bean, chocolate pudding fruit, banana, Passionfruit, apricot, tropical plum, mango, orange, longan, lychee, chillies, pineapple, strawberries, mulberry,. coconut, avocado, chooks, vege garden(tomatoes, watermelon, corn, rockmelon, pumpkin). and a whole host of wild insects that eat the plants or each other,....none of the little mongrels wants to catch and eat the bloody fruit flies though(protein).

That's an interesting crop there silver. An avocado tree is next on my list.
Some chilli sauce is the last thing I made from the garden.

Sounds like you are a fair way north Silver. When we lived up north (Daintree) my favorites were Mangoesteen and Rambutan but it is hard to go past a bowl of sweet Lychee's.

Some of them are only babys yet, while others are up to 14 years old,....but that chocolate pudding has been giving fruit for months now, and it's already flowering again while the rest of the fruit is still ripening one or two at a time. And the other day I was eating dried on the bush chillies thinking, wow, this bush must have no kick in the chillies at all,...so of course(as you do), I popped a nice big red one in my mouth and chewed it up,...only to realise that the dry ones must have lost all that birds eye kick somehow, because that red one was a real scortcher(read suffer me).

That sounds like a recipe I'm gonna have to try!

A tube of haberno does that sort of thing to me(no, not the whole tube).

hi goldtruck59 how do you stop the worms in your tomatoes

Gidday Norm,

Sorry mate Ive been off air.
I use liberal applications of tomato or Vege Dust. Get yourself a blower and give them a good squirt all over. The dust doesn't effect the growth or taste but certainly keeps away the pests. Another trick is to not have any leaves on the ground. I pinch out the lower leaves and keep my tomatoes off the ground with wire and string.
A good drink once every 3-4 days and a bit of shade cloth when the temps are savage gets the best out of your tommys.
PS a feed of Charlie carp or similar every 3-4 weeks does wonders for them also. Good growing mate.

Finally my first ever 3 apricots are ready to pick, and the only 2 apples are getting there as well. Trees have been in the ground for 3 months so I'm stoked they produced what they have.
Now I just need to wait until I'm really hungry so I can gorge myself on all this fresh fruit

Pete be careful with those apricots.
I had a run in recently(more like a few months ago but the nightmares are still fresh).

I thought i was being good and healthy eating apricots instead of lollies.
What happened next was something i and my ass will remember in my nightmares for the rest of my life.

Have a read of this it describes almost exactly what happened.

A little snippet from link.

For a good solid hour or so, youre fine.

You go about you day, thinking everythings fine, and then out of nowhere, you feel a tremor in the force.

It starts small, like the water glass ripples in Jurassic Park.

You feel a slight tingle in your belly, like tiny feathers are tickling your insides.

Your eye twitches involuntarily.

Hey LC76, that had me laughing so much I nearly peed myself, showed Trace the link but she says "not funny, must be boy humour".
I'm going to let her have the apricots then
