Hi all

I'm a virgin prospector although eager to pop my cherry.
I'll be a weekend warrior when I'm set up and heading out into the field.
I've had an itch for a while now, so I'm about to start scratching it.
Just researching and sussing out my options on purchasing an effective detector for my experience ( which is zero )and going from there. At present I'm leaning towards a Garret ATGold to get me going.

Welcome earthling. There are many varieties of detector out there. Try and hire a few and see which one suits you best. Then buy new or from Ebay.

Greetings earthling. Hehe, I've always wanted to say that. Welcome aboard and good luck. I don't know much about the ATgold so I can't really offer any advice or an opinion, but I'm sure it won't be long until some of the other members who are in the know see ya post and help ya out.
