hi i'm Rock Spectre, aka Alia. my husband n i are newbie fossickers. well he is, i' have some fossicking knowledge. i've been researching Adelaide's mining history for a while now. have visited Wheal Gawler, Wheal Whatkins n Wallaroo. we're now hobby fossickers, visited Tingha n Bingara last year. i've also got calcite n gypsum from Rocky Creek in Queensland. topaz from Cania Gorge plus innot hot springs. a rough count, i reckon i got over 2000+ specimens. is that getting carried away? i collect because i love it. am going to try gold panning during our next planned trip. we did plan to do Victoria, the floods have made us hold off.
