G'day fellow fanatics,

Just joined up and raring to go.

I'm half Irish. Half American and half demented.

I migrated to these fair shores aboard the good ship Fairsky in 1966. Hell that makes me old.

I worked for Australia Post for 27 years and State Rail for 10.

I'm a published children's author. (never grew up)

When I set my mind to something I'm generally very good at it. (I never quit)

I'm a good friend who will help anybody in need.

All that gold, coins and jewellery out there just waiting to be found.

Last one out's a rotten egg!!

Cheers,

Prof.'

Hi Guys,

Just bought a Minelab Musketeer Advantage. It was on at $650 buy it now or best offer. I bid $350 and won the auction. Probably paid too much for it. Might have got it for under $300. That's inexperience for you. Got nothing extra with it at all. No coils, hip harness or pin pointer. It's a very clean unit though. Not scratched or damaged at all. The owner said that he'd had bought it new for a thousand dollars and it had performed extremely well for him. Time will tell.

Cheers,

Dan.

G'day professor, welcome. Are you a digger, detectorist or both?, what type of detector do you have or haven't you got one yet?. Do you prospect for gold if so what type?, alluvial or nugget or both?. Do you look minerals and gem stones if so what type or do you like?. Do you like detecting for coins or relics or both?. I haven't found anything of much value with my metal detector but I'm cleaning up south east Queensland of all it's junk. The amount of dirt I've dug looking for gold would half fill suncorp stadium and I haven't found much and I ain't about to give up yet. With your writing back ground we should get to read some good tales about your adventures and don't forget the photos. :) Mick
