Hi guys,

Just starting out in the prospecting game as it gets me off the farm and I figured I've got as much chance of striking it rich finding the elusive big nugget as I have from milking cows.

Located in Northern Vic about an hour and a half from most of the well known goldfields. Been out a handful of times so far, Tarnagulla, Inglewood and a few spots in between. So far I've done extremely well on lead shot, buttons, tacks and nails but I'm guessing everyday is a day closer to finding something of a little more value.
Currently using a GPX4500 because I was too tight to purchase the 5000.

Cheers.

I thought farmers were struggling.
Milking cows seems to be doing just fine and dandy.
I myself am struggling to purchase anything better than homebrand milk.

G'day Cow Cocky welcome to PA you've bought a great machine, I haven't used one but they are popular and a proven machine :Y:. Get your 10 post's up and the members section will open up then you can join in the meet ups and get to know a few like minded people.

Thanks, RM, Marksman and Jaros. You know what they say, inhale the good ***** and exhale the bullshite.

The history of these areas interests me nearly as much as the gold stuff, so I'm content for the moment just wandering around the bush finding buttons in awe of the sheer amount of dirt shifted in the past with picks, shovels and barrows.
