Small area each side of the bridge is public fossicking and camping, pay attention if fire bans are in place.
The people that own the land each side are super nice people and will let you camp and fossick on there property if you ask them, just go and knock on there door.
I was on there property for 1 day over easter, only for 1 crapy stone but it was good to have a look around and plan for another trip.
