No it wasn't me women that found it, but she did find a 25g i was standing on in the middle of my patch in WA....that was also emotional let me tell ya!!

Lee, yeah was a little fatigued just before lunch wandering back to the 4x4, was only 4m from the car, mate got it wandering over for a break while I was sitting down. Just shook my head and thought that won't happen again. :)

Narrawa, I just got a pain in the chest after reading that. I would have felt the same, I bet there was a large dent in a carton that night.

Hi guys, I'm new at detecting so hope this isn't a dumb question!! wouldn't the 5000 go 40% deeper with the bigger coil??

I cant wait to see you guys testing the 7000 and see what Gizmoe's its got, If it's a step up Like the 4000 was when it came out Then It's going to be A Heck of A Beast, and no more Big Batteries too by the Look of it,

I'm already thinking of things to sell to raise the Dough?? still I got A month or two before they get here.

i wanna see it in action with my own eyes first

That's OK we'll Let you Buy the First One, but we want to hear all the Gossip, Ok

PS, don't tell Mrs Doctor, remember what I said.

That long ya reckon.? :| bugga!!.

Im thinking its been long enough, and im betting lost sales in that time will hurt suppliers. However i think the price will certainly hold a few of us back till the word is gospel enough to pawn a limb....or sell a kidney. Im pawning my gammy leg...just not telling them its gammy.

Well you guys will get them before we do so that should be anytime now I hope,, then we can have ours,

My Kidneys and liver are all I got left that works, so I better log into Ebay. I wonder if they'd mind Buyer Collects. wouldn't want them to go off before the cheque Clears,

I don't know what us older folk will do to get one. Most of the parts are past their use by date - shelf life.
Maybe we could volunteer in those "unboiling the egg" experiments they are doing in the USA to get a bit of life extension!!! :p

Predictions on detector prices after the release of the 7000?

Mate Detector Prices have taken a hit already before the "Release" due to the speculation.

I am currently brokering a deal for an SDC 2nd hand for $2800 ($3995 is the new price) so I would not like to be in the market of selling a detector ATM, however get what you can for them now boy's as the price WILL fall upon release of the 7000.
cheers
Lee

Definitely a buyers market at the moment.
I reckon once things settle down the used prices will stabilise again & machines like used GPX4500-5000's may even come back up a bit (particularly if the GPZ is significantly dearer as expected). One thing with Minelabs is they do hold a reasonable resale value & have seen many new releases but always seem to stabilise/recover ok after the new machine "rush" settles.

lol...if i gave you the impression i was well off....i do apologize. :D

No not at all, we're all in the same boat there, that's way I'm gonna have to sell some parts,

Seriously, I think this machine might combine the best of all break throughs in one Package,

I wonder what the balance is like seeing as its got that big coil on it, hopefully the control box will have a bit of weight to it so it will balance just right,

This is like being a Kid and it's a week before Christmas??

5000 price would have to drop you would think if the GPZ price is with in reasonable reach of the 5000. For arguments sake if the detector was $8000 would you buy it ?

On this one you would, but 8k aint going to buy it for you either !
This one is between 9 and 10k , Time will tell for now until ML release it proper

Hey Narra you should have plenty stacked away for this one ;) ;)
