Being a bit taller than the average bear I installed something similar from Try Hard prospecting bought from my local supplier here in WA. Older style involved cutting the ML screw fittings on the shaft off, very big mistake! Worked ok with the coils supplied by minelab but really suffered fatigue and split when I ran my coiltech elliptical 12x7, think it was the weight and found the shaft flexing quite a lot. There was no reinforcing in the fitting and they split after about 3 hours use
Anyway I spent the entire trip with the shafts held together with 100 mph tape and to my dismay I found that the screw fittings cannot be purchased from ML and the whole shaft had to be bought with the screw fittings, apparently the new set up doesnt require the screw fittings to be cut off.
Let me know if anyone finds a company that makes extended shafts for the 6000 in different length to the original.
