Ok i won the goldrat sluice in the competition a while ago and northeast kindly gave me some cons,

I didnt run northeasts cons as i couldnt get enough water volume ,so i run a pot of dirt thats been hiding in the shed.

The round cells were active and the black heavies were jiggling about but the matt probably wasnt clearing properly from lack of flow

The photos dont show it but thats about 10mm of water over the mini mat and 25 is recommended but even so the cells were working

The cell under the A has a good goldie bubbling around in it but its camera shy

With the water turned off you can see the black heavies in the holes and i believe a bit more water would have shifted the rest of the blonde looking crud

Not a great test at all but the creeks just not flowing enough so this was the next best thing

Now what came off the end of the suice

Panned it down and NO gold and almost no heavies either

Well my tip would be a soak in a near boiling bathtub, followed by a good scrape to remove all the hair. Just like a pig.

I like it Aussiefarmer :Y: I've got quite a bit of dirt to run through mine and bugger all water apart from the dam's. I've got about half dozen IBC's and a 10k litre tank on the truck and plenty of pumps to choose from so I'll be able to sort out the water flow and tailing recovery no worries, just need to get some free time. I'll build a platform to hold the sluice and work out the water delivery system.

There's one lot of cons I'm keen to run thanks to Kemjak57 :Y: :beer: from his mate in WA just need to dolly it up first. My current work schedule is due to slack off at the end of May then I'll hopefully get a few days to get it sorted.
