Gold Prospecting in the Hermidale Area of Nyngan Cobar

Like to know if anyone can give any info' on this area please, I have a mate who has private property in the region a bit North of Hermidale, close to 100k from Nyngan, plenty of Quartz and relative rocks about, is pretty rough country and has invited me up to have a look about and do a bit of detecting.
I have no clue at all of what maybe there other than the above, its about 7 hour trip so any help in advance is greatly appreciated! ickshovel: :goldnugget:

Hermidale is at 3 o clock
this is an indication only you will need to do more research to be sure IE Private property - national park - miners lease - state forest the list goes on

I grew up in Nyngan. We have climbed into old mine shafts and diggings in the Girilambone, Hermidale area. I assume they didn't dig shafts etc if there was no gold.
Cambelligo, which is out towards Cobar was a mining town. Also featured in a movie or 2.

Try "Trove" search "Hermidale gold" and it will give you newspaper stories about gold found in the area.
