Greetings

I was out and about panning some creeks on the Oz weekend. I came across what looked like grey slate however it was a lot softer. It was easy to separate and break up. Does anyone know what this is and if it would contain any gold?

If it has gold in it then am I allowed to break it up?

Plus if anyone knows a good deterrent for those bloody horse flies please let me know.

Cheers and Thanks. :D

Probably decomposing bedrock..Gold dosnt stay there for long as the bedrock is always decomposing and the gold wont get trapped for long....But dosnt meen theres none there.. :Y: Pan ad see. :Y:

Try Dettrol and baby oil. It last longer. Same thing watch for the eyes. It's a killer.
