Gold found at watagan mountains

I was just wondering has anyone fond any gold in the watagan mountains near newcastle thanks newby.

Wrong type of country. All sandstone and coal!

Wish it was there, would save me a 4 hour drive!

I wish ,because our property looks right down at the watagans ,
I have found test holes up on top of our mountain, we also have one ridge that's full of fossilized clams and some old maps show that there was a old copper mine somewhere on our thousands acres of bush ,there are Gems not to far away in the pobolkin state forest apparently
