i bought one last year. very good pick. the leaf spring its made from takes the jar out of digging, especially when hitting bedrock.
and includes a strong magnet.

smoky bandit, its the weight of lugging it around that governs the size. if your strong it wont be a problem. and 8mm steel would dig a hole pretty quick if you can swing it. ower:

Good on you Ron for offering advice. Your picks are excellent. I have the biggest one ( I must say I got a shock when I first saw the size of it ) but it is a top digger. I run a concreting business and the boys will grab that before a mattock if theres any digging to be done. ??

I've tried many picks in the goldfields, but yours are by far the best.
The flat sides (top to bottom) make loose top material removal very easy, whilst the fluted sides make material that much easier to remove from inside the digs.

I used my new pick that I bought from Ron on eBay last week. It is fantastic. Makes holes in the ground quickly (even hard ground) and I find the weight just perfect for digging.
