Will be very interested in how you find the QED Tathradj especially compared to the SDC.

I've settled on the sdc
Easy for a beginner
Finds small gold and waterproof
I'll be running a high banker so just in case I get too drunk and drop it in the river it will be safe

You will be disappointed with all of these detectors if you want to hunt for coins/relics. You will need a VLF with discrimination for that. Running a dedicated gold machine for coins will just drive you nuts

i used to sniff coins with my 5000, it's all about trusting your ears, but in saying that it will do your head in on crap filled ground, but again trust your ears and coins you will find

not to mention it's a well proven machine. I've seen some impressive gold tallies with the SDC.

You have two choices in my opinion 4500 or SDC both around the $3500 I run a 4500 and a Steel Phase and can find fly specs with it the choice is up to you personally I would go a 4500 as you have a lot more variations of coils you can add on if you want to ,just my two bobs worth.PP :Y: :Y:
