Any members hear of anything about this area? I'm in the vicinity today and wondered if anyone has some local knowledge.

I first came across a mention of this site from an old bloke out in the scrub who had an old map but I cannot find the photo and details are hard to come by. It wasn't a huge gold bearing area but might be a couple grains left over to find.

Found it.....I went north of the Goulburn over the Ghin Ghin bridge, series of diggers holes, but looked like private land so I stayed out. Went a few kms in every direction without much joy, unless there were some workings near the river in which case out of bounds with the exempt list. Good choice for a dry blower in summer and a banker in winter. Looked like an old marine gutter or lead, wasn't anything particularly substantial.

Interesting but small.

Fair way north of the bridge from memory, getting towards the granite contact. Wouldn't be marine in that area.
