Georgetown Conditions?

Has anyone been up to the Georgetown area lately, I'm thinking of going up to that area in April and was wondering what the ground cover might be like for detecting. Have heard that the grass is high and thick. Any info would be appreciated.

Been getting plenty of rain. There will be plenty of grass. I go out beginning of June and the grass is high but not a real problem.

Been 2 heavy wet seasons in a row and unless a fire has been through there will be basically 2 years of grass (perhaps more). How heavy it has been stocked may change that a bit.
