Let me assure you nothing could be further from the truth! My intentions are completely honourable, and I sincerely apologize if I've upset anyone or have given anyone the wrong impression.

I just prefer women because generally they are more petite and weigh less so I can get two on the one meat hook plus they stack better.

You had me worried there for a minute I had visions of road trains doing relief runs to the caves around Erliston full of dunny rolls.

Started watching that movie quite a few years ago. I know its weird but I found it quite upsetting and couldnt finish it. Probably didnt help that my daughter was around the same age.

When I started this thread only a month back there was no virus talk , in that short time the world is facing a pandemic that could destroy all major economies .

How you ask ? The debt levels were already outrageous ' so close to the tipping point anyway & now it starts .

First there will be a credit collapse along with the banks .
Supply of essentials are quickly bought up & replacements stop coming .
Water & electricity supply grind to a halt ' no internet .

Then Paper money no longer has any value ' only real stuff excepted for barter .

Horrible scenario isn't it :(
How probable is the outcome I paint -- you will soon get a front line seat as it plays out .

Jack .

I dont think theres middle ground, I dont mean to be pessimistic, but either everything will be ok, or everything will be chaos. I tend to think other than a natural or off planet event, humankind will just run about the same course it is now.

The part where electricity stops is the part where we go back to the stoneage and act like it. No polite exchanging of goods, just blind panic and total infrastructure meltdown.

Well need more than extra rolls for that.

But if youll indulge me a little Outback where is this information source, and did you mean banks here or the entire banking system?

Reminds me of the story I heard 50 odd years ago about "chicken little". "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!"

The only thing more unlikely than a collapse of society, is that one would only need 4 to 6 weeks of your own supplies to outlast a pandemic!

I think a collapse is a huge stretch
But there will definately be some hard times coming Depends on how long they try to contain it. I think once it gets bad, (the virus) and it becomes common, it will go back to business as usual
Worst thing for us in the NT would Bea fuel crisis. We are a long way from anywhere, and a small population that drains a lot of money from the other states.

I'm not usually a conspiracy theory person but so far this strain does seem to be a lot on the mark as a "perfect biological lottery win ".
