Hi All my Far North Queensland Friends,
It is the last day of my contract with Cairns Regional Council today, the project is now coming to a close, so I will be heading back south the Brisbane permanently tomorrow morning.
Just want to thank all my Far North Queensland Friends for making me feel so welcome up here in the top end and for sharing your experience with me, it has been a great eight month adventure.
It has been great to make some new friends and share an adventure or two with you all and I am sure those friendships will last for life.
The highlight of my trip was getting onto a working gold claim on the Palmer River and I thank Kane for organising it and Charles for hosting us and I am sure we all have memories of that trip that will last a lifetime.
I will be sad to leave you all and will miss our monthly coffee catch-ups but I have my good lady wife and family waiting for me back home and it will be good to see them again.
I also want to thank George for hosting our regular coffee catch-ups and for sharing his wealth of knowledge with us all it has been greatly appreciated by everyone.
I am sure in my travels around the goldfields I will make it back here one day so I wont say goodbye, just see you later mate.
When I do make it back here I hope to once again share some new adventures with you all.
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous and Happy New Year!!!
Regards,
Grant
