I have recently gotten hold of a good condition 3500, and would like to know people's opinions on repairing the wiring on older coils. As in the cable from the coil to the control box. I have a lot of older, as in UFO and 12 x 24 mono coils, where the cable from the coil to the control box has pretty much lost the outer coating. Are these repairable, and if so are they worth the time and money to do so? Just looking on doing an exploration trip this year, and need a good spare machine to use with the 7000. Cheers.
