Hi all!

First post, new member!

have loved reading lots of posts and getting a bit of info!

Live in Tassie and heading to Victoria with my partner and our boy next week for a little trip away. Plan on doing a little bit of fossicking for gems and what not, we are heading to Daylesford for a few days to do this and im looking for some help with locations. One place we will be going trying our hand is Sailors Creek from the picnic ground entry.

Can any of you give up some other locations to try so that we have a better chance of finding some gems and possibly a chance at some of the yellow stuff?

Any help, idea's or locations would be amazing! i see a lot of posts about Sailors creek, but no specific locations along the creek to try?

Thanks!! 😁

Hello there, Im not sure what you intend to do with your stones or if it is mainly for the fun of finding them, but if you want to facet stones Daylesford isn't the greatest place. All the stones there are tiny. However you are guaranteed to find them, and a bit of colour to go along with them. Sailors creek might not have water in it at the moment.
Good luck!
