Hey Mick, the 3p I only finger rubbed it with Bi-carb soda and the florin was soaked in citric acid and then rubbed with bi-carb to finish,
The citric melted the dirt off

But thanks to RJ I've learn't what a marble tone is :lol: :lol: winning
3 pennys and a half penny, not sure if I dented one :|

Started cleaning the 20c and the head side is an off center miss strike

I had a lot of fun playing with one of those as a kid, brings back memories of seeing batman surfing at the beach on the hilarious 60's TV series.

The highlights of the week, the silvers look mint what a shame the 6p's have been hit by the mower And my next marble a chipped tommie catseye

The overload circuit is a p#$soff seems to over load on the smallest junk even a round buried powerade seal
The lack of ground balance seems to make ID numbers different and effects the depth it can hit the same target solidly when I go from an area of original sand/swamp dirt to where the top fill is
I barely scraped $6 and 30+ BB's and a lots of junk over the week

Hit my local beach to fall in a foot deep detector hole so left there after $2, a key, a cat bell, and 20c so looks like I've got competition to deal with :/

Last nights hunt

My earliest florin 1919 was stuck in machine packed clay and shell mix, there is so much shell content I couldn't even dig in it took about ten minutes to get 2 inches
Surprised it isn't shovel scratched but has shell scratches
And 2 more Narrabeen mineral deposits :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Thanks Heatho, I still wonder how it got there :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: I have 1 other park that I got a penny and 6p from the top fill layer as well, so there could be more around that shouldn't be there
Had no idea I was digging a Florin, Thought it was a penny or copper offcut

Certainly worth the effort to extract that coin from the hard ground, older florins are becoming a rarity.
