First Timer

Hi Guys,
First time prospector with a SDC2300. Im in south Brisbane area and am keen to meet like minded prospectors.
New to the forum thing as this is my first. please be gentle .
Haven't found any of the gold stuff yet but plenty of lead and junk. I just got the detector and used it once.
Cant wait to find my first color.

Welcome Dirt Digger, as one of the dedicated long time SDC users I know that gold is just a couple of swings away.
Can't help with gold in Qld but I'm sure we have many Qld members that will assist.

I also got a SDC2300 not long ago and found heaps of lead shot at first
But with the help of a few very nice people here got my fist nuggy on Australia day
And have only gotten better since then my biggest peice of advice is BE PERSISTENT and dont give up

I will find that first bit of colour im looking for and cant wait.
My work hours vary from week to week but would like to catch up in the field one day soon with some keen members

Gday AtomRat, thanks mate... I'm looking at some good Google earth pics and trying to work it all out. There is more to it and im loving the learning im doing and getting from great people that speak from experience and we all know nothing will come close to experience
