got my first detector xt17000 minelab most likely you think why did you buy that it was very cheap near band new looking hardly used but its got a lot of dials and switches to play with so hopefully it will teach me some thing I wont be happy with it till I now what it can do then hopefully buy a good one down the track if any one any tips or setting on these detector bar put it in the bin lol that would be great cheers terry

I have the same detector. So far I only found rubbish (fuggets ) with it and some live ammo so it works. It was given to me by a mate and I also want to learn with it. Since its a VLF your best bet will be munlock heaps. Looking forward to see some pics of your finds.

thanks guys for the comment I will give it a try and see what happens I guess you could check the rocks from the wal banker to see if I missed something I will try the munlock heaps hopefully get something to show anyway we will give her a go
