Just a bit of a heads up on the type of containers I currently use in the field for finds. The main use for them is to prevent small delicate items from being further damaged in the field, and also to prevent coins from recieving further scratching (older silver in particular). Also saves you from having to rummage through a finds bag full of dirt to locate the smaller items (coins, buttons, jewllery etc)
I was after something compact that would take up little room as possible in my finds pouch, and ended up settling on a couple of good quality folding tackle containers made by Japanese company Versus. Aside from having several snap lock compartment (larger ones are dividible), they fold down to a very compact size which is perfect for my bag or pocket for the smaller container.
If needed, you can also fit padding into them to further protect your finds.
Most good Fishing shops should stock these.
