Post you February COIN of the month competition entries below this post. Good luck to all.

The Coin entered must be found after joining the forum.

The post must have a picture of the coin and the DATE item found.
The coin entered must be clearly identified (If the date is too worn as long as it can be identified in a date range).

Tokens and coin rings are not coins and must be entered in the Find of the month competition.
Coin of the Month will be decided by member votes using an online polling system.
There will be no prizes offered at this time. You get bragging rights though.
All monthly winners will be entered into the Coin of the year competition and a small prize will be up for grabs.
Please refrain from commenting on every find as this will just make it difficult to keep track of the entries. Thanks.
IF YOU HAVE NOT FOLLOWED ALL OF THE ABOVE WITH YOUR ENTRY, IT WILL BE REMOVED. You will now be sent a PM asking you to read the rules before re-entering.

So I had a good find in the field the other day.

I think it is a good match for Dads "ollar roo"

But the colour is a bit dark and likely needs a good clean.
Tasted great! :p :D

My coin of the month entry.

Think I might have to put in Mrs Wishfull's $1.00 2004 coin. It would appear that the coin is a 2004 $1.00 coin with a die fracture from the Queens face and lips. The number 4 is very faint and tilted anticlockwies to about the 11.:00 position.

Golddiggerart said this about the coin:
It appears there was an issue with the die, as there is also a fracture line across Lizzy's face (leading from her lips across her cheek), and the '4' tilted as much as it is, this may have been one of the last strikes before the die 'shattered'??
It took all but one try to get that information and whenever that happens it means there isn't much more....so I'd guess there are only two known in existence for now... Well done on the find.....could be a real money spinner... Cha-Ching $$$$$$
