Anyone used one?
Or are these things verboten to the average punter?

Had a play with an F3ci at work recently for a couple of hours. Looked exactly like an SDC2300 only green.
VERY easy to use, just switch on, ground balance and away you go basically.
No threshold audio at all, completely silent, the audio only being triggered when something is detected, with a heartbeat every few seconds just to let you know it's still switched on and working.
Could pick up quite small slivers of lead at perhaps 4-5" deep.
Empty .22 brass and lead bullets at depth had the detector screaming, almost too easy.

F3Ci uses VFLEX so very similar performance to an Xterra 705. The F3C uses MPS technology and handles hot ground well, but doesnt come anywhere near the capability of the SDC on small gold.

Ahh ok, was wondering how a machine like this would compare to a dedicated gold finding machine like the SDC.
I guess the design brief for a machine like the F3ci doesn't have finding small gold at the top of its list though! Rusty nails, fencing wire and old bed springs would seem to be more its forte'.
Would probably make a pretty decent coin shooter/treasure finder in that case.

There was mention that the F3ci could detect certain non-metals also.
Very interesting.......
