Hi folks,
With great weather in the Wagga district and a leave pass for two days (Sat, Sun) it was time to head to the local hills with the 4500.
The results with detector was poor, mainly bottle tops, iron wire and lead.
Better results came from a good pair of eyes and a morbid fear of snakes, the two items below were spotted before the detector picked up either.
The pocket knife was just off a track, the bracelet was buried in the dirt at the edge of camp site some kilometers away, a small part of the chain was visible on the surface, it was the glint of gold in the sun that caught my attention, no nugget but a good find all the same. No stones missing, and appears gold plated, at least the chain.
Both came up well after a good soaking and clean.
Cheers
