Yes , have done abit in the area but not around the crossing over the raise at Dreamers Hill ,also on the road back to Linton about half way on the right behind the old rail line.
Anyone able to tell if this area is ok for prospecting(metal detecting), from a legal standpoint? I've visited the place before and it was used as a camping ground/ dumping ground, but there are huge mullock heaps and some very deep mines and very pebbly river funning through.
I was there in November with my Russian wife to show her the merits of Victoria as she gets bored in the townhouse in Ballarat. Well worth a visit for the scenery and its all flattened over mullock from deeper mines..Similar to pipe organs area near Keilor. I think it is off limit to the likes of us and a tourist spot.Someone swiped the metal sign leading there off the main road so now it is a bit confusing.Caused me to back track before I found it.
