Unfortunately I think the strong winds will be with us for several weeks. The strong Westerlies used to run through September but in recent years they have started earlier and earlier. Climate change? Whatever it is still a PITA. No good for detecting, work or bike riding. I would rather work or ride in torrential rain than wind. It is Horrid.

90mins this arvo, at a small site that I did 5 times, in my first year of detecting.....I really did suck, for at least a year at this! Experience counts for so much!

Experience and knowing your detector intimately certainly makes for more productive and enjoyable detecting. I remember way back when you came to the conclusion that slowing your sweep speed down really helped on locating those deeper coins, as proven on this previously detected site, well done. :Y:
