Its like that sometimes should have stayed to get your fifty on the board at least
You will have you gold when the time is right and probably least expected
Ah you poor b*$#d
Dont be discouraged though ... if there were a piece there you would have found it
Like Mr T said , it will happen when the time is right and you least expect it
Total pain digging trash like that, but worth it when a nice golden something appears in your hand.
I usually try to discrim out the bottletops as best I can but those aluminium pulltabs are right in the gold ring tones and TID range, I pretty much always dig pulltabs even if I'm 99% certain it's not gold.
In saying that though, I nearly walked away from 2 nice bits of gold, one was an 18k white gold ring that I thought was a 10c coin and the other a 15g 9k gold bangle that I thought was trash too, curiosity got the better of me though.
Im really trying to make use of my time off over Easter so I went out again (4th day in a row) for hunt #53
I went back to the old homesite again since Ive been having some luck, here are todays finds:
Broken harmonica reed (broken by me, theyre tough bastards to extract whole!) Roo penny, 1901 queen vicky half penny, 2 D buckles and my 3rd dog tag... I wish these people had fewer dogs and more silver
I joke of course, Im loving these dog tags, look awesome of my treasures shelf! And this ones from 1895 bloody beauty!
Dont know if Ill be able to get out again before I go back to work!
WOW...WOW...Thats an AWESOME find mate :8 . Dam I wish I lived somewhere where finds like that were possible..
Im Soooooo Jelly :drooling: :drooling:
Really happy with the detail on the front, ole Vicky is worse for wear though

And hes Vicky, poor las... looks like someones intentionally tried to melt it?
