Detecting from the 1980's

Thought i would share this picture from a typical days detecting at the old Greta Migrant/army camp from about 25 years ago, just proves that the old detectors were very capable i guess! My father and i spent a lot of time there throughout the 80's and 90's and pulled hundreds of coins out of there, many foreign as well as pre decs., not to mention the badges and buttons and empty and live cartridge cases! enjoy

All the coins are in fantastic condition too. There are so many sites lying around the place, but many have been hammered over the years. If only I could wind the clock back 20 odd years, and taken the hobby up earlier. :/

Nice collection matchy. Only a year or so back a few forum members and I detected that very site, and even after all these years it's still producing the goods (though probably not quite as much as it once did).
