yeah it good that Dave never questioned the indisputable truth that a prospector caused this erosion...

I was the one that took this picture and let me assure you that there is nothing natural about this hole. ;)

My point of the photo is...Its on the outside ebb, I've seen this naturally occurring many times, particularly after heavy rain, the high water works on the bend until it collapses. The piles in the creek definitely occurred from the collapse

I do understand what you saying but the photo is looking upstream. What you don't see is that the river turn to the right behind the blackberry bush so this is the inside bank. If what you are saying was natural, the river would have to flow backwards.

Don't mean to anger any one hear but what is the point off putting posts like this up?. Is it to educate the stupid ,to upset the educated ,to piss the environmental people off, or just some thing to talk about. Don't get me wrong this crap with people digging in to banks annoys me.
Did any one rectify this ,or was it left for the wrong person to see,
hopefully filled in, i believe it is our duty as prospectors to fix these sort of things when we see them to preserve our hobby.
I have filled a few banks in my time prospecting and every shovel I put back has not so nice words coming from mouth.

I'm pretty sure this topic has ran it's course. Hopefully those responsible are caught. Topic closed.

Cheers,
Nugget
