Well it looks like crows don't really have a Killy stabby beak like I thought so most likely is one. There a bit more rounded at the top just like ya pic, I was thinking more like butcher bird magpie type of beak. Mind you the only crow I've seen close up has generally been a bit messed up so never been able to tell.

Yep,
I figured out a few years back that a 160 grain item traveling at
5000 fps does indeed not do them the world of good at 200 yards.
I could not believe on how many feathers these things are equipped with. 8)
A feather duster would gape in awe. :8

Had a bit of a google on this one.... Mmmm best I came up with is.....

A young Torresian Crow .... probably his Brother/sister in other pic behind fence.... Didn't make-it, killed by Stronger Bird in the Nest..:N: Most young Crows/Ravens have Blue Eyes then Yellow-up at Maturity...

The ravens around my area have blue eyes their entire lives. We only get ravens in my area, no crows.

Found a spider in one of my birdseye chillie bushes.
lotta web, it's keeping itself safe from preditors, n even catching chillies.

It's hiding under the leaf in centre of photo, abdomen is as big as a thumbnail, n there's a few old bugs in there with him too.

might have to catch the action in the dark of night.

That spider will me after eating chillies and bug .

pretty squat looking raknid, but doesn't take up a lot of room in the garden ,.... has a stinkbug in its web too, n anything that kills (even if it don't eat it) stinkbugs is a friend in the garden. :Y:

R M OUTBACK gets the prize for answering the question as to the identification of the spider in the pic, there are about a hundred odd species in Australia , all the orb weaver variety , and all seem to have the same effect on humans scare the crap out us, when i bush walk, the first thing i do ss select a good stout branch and its held in front of me to get rid of webs and spiders , nothin like a web onya face is there
