Complete Newbie....

Hello,
I am a complete Newbie at this and am actually learning all about fossicking as my sons have love of Gems, fossils and stones.... So I am taking this opportunity to learn, so we can have days out in nature, rather than glued to some screen.
I am based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. So lots of reading up on places we can go and actually how to spot a gemstone over a rock....
