Complete newbie looking for advice and saying Hi

Hi guys. I grew up in Ballarat and did a fair bit of rudimentary panning and very basic detecting back in the day (1970s), mostly around Creswick. It's been a long time since I've been out bush, but I've got an itch. Looking at buying a lower-level rig and doing some basic scouring of the bush somewhere West of where I am now living (Western suburbs of Melbourne.) Not sure of which rig to buy yet. Anyway, just saying hi. I'll no doubt lurk around here in the forum for a while, passively absorbing good advice. Thanks.
