This reminds me of a tansgender woman that fought in the woman's division in mma. She pummeled those poor ladysmadtuna said:Good idea, open to all transgender athletes.. we could have her, Cate McGregor who wants to play womens T20 and that ex swimmer Kardashian dudette all in one event but lets make it boxing. :Y:Jaros said:Maybe they should have a separate category for them as in the para-games athletics games? The Transgender Games?! :N:
Edit: probably harsh and all manner of wrong what I just wrote and honestly I have no problems with people who feel the need to change thier gender for what ever reason and some I feel genuinely sorry for but.....
This woman is a medaled champion male power lifter and has a distinct genetic advantage over her opponents and I dont think that is fair.
Too right about the para athletes. Good to see some decent coverage for a change.Dihusky said:As someone living on the Gold Coast we've been unable to get away from it unlike many other Gold Coasters. This place has been a ghost town for the last 10 days, no traffic, businesses closed and cafes empty. Hotels down 30% and the Star Casino is hosting the local Radio station who are virtually pleading for people to come down and join them! The traffic leaving town on the Thursday before Easter was simply mind boggling and long term airport parking was booked out!
So much for Beatie and Tate's hype about the games benefits, most tourist based businesses appear to be suffering!
Transport, long delays for spectators and competitors delivered to the wrong venues because the organisers are too cheap to provide out of town coach drivers with GPS!
The much vaunted ticket lottery where everyone was guaranteed tickets... 'Pigs a**#e!!' we applied and got nothing, easier to watch on TV anyway.
The biggest plus for us has been the inclusion of the Para athletes, these guys and girls are truly amazing and deserved to be included, they are everything and more with the other athletes.
Loving the ghost town but looking forward to everything getting back to normal including Tate's everyday BS!

He has cerebral palsy and the poor buggers legs gave out just as he crossed the line.. what an amazing run!
