Guess which athlete could be hiding a pair of hairy chinese goose berries in her pants ;) can't match the ball tampering comment though.

Maybe they should have a separate category for them as in the para-games athletics games? The Transgender Games?! :N:
Good idea, open to all transgender athletes.. we could have her, Cate McGregor who wants to play womens T20 and that ex swimmer Kardashian dudette all in one event but lets make it boxing. :Y:

Edit: probably harsh and all manner of wrong what I just wrote and honestly I have no problems with people who feel the need to change thier gender for what ever reason and some I feel genuinely sorry for but.....
This woman is a medaled champion male power lifter and has a distinct genetic advantage over her opponents and I dont think that is fair.
This reminds me of a tansgender woman that fought in the woman's division in mma. She pummeled those poor ladys :(

Transgender athletes are a joke in my book sure everyone has a right of choice I'm not denying them that but to complete in sport where your opponent doesn't have the same genetics is pretty much legalised ball tampering on both sides of the fence. The world is going crazy when it comes to this nonsense.

There is no room in sport for transgender athletes, if they want to play sport they should form their own competition so that they are all playing on an even field.

I'm undecided about transgenders in sport, many women are looking for equality, competition against the men, with transgenders competing aren't they getting what they asked for.

Just playing the devils advocate!

As someone living on the Gold Coast we've been unable to get away from it unlike many other Gold Coasters. This place has been a ghost town for the last 10 days, no traffic, businesses closed and cafes empty. Hotels down 30% and the Star Casino is hosting the local Radio station who are virtually pleading for people to come down and join them! The traffic leaving town on the Thursday before Easter was simply mind boggling and long term airport parking was booked out!

So much for Beatie and Tate's hype about the games benefits, most tourist based businesses appear to be suffering!

Transport, long delays for spectators and competitors delivered to the wrong venues because the organisers are too cheap to provide out of town coach drivers with GPS!

The much vaunted ticket lottery where everyone was guaranteed tickets... 'Pigs a**#e!!' we applied and got nothing, easier to watch on TV anyway.

The biggest plus for us has been the inclusion of the Para athletes, these guys and girls are truly amazing and deserved to be included, they are everything and more with the other athletes.

Loving the ghost town but looking forward to everything getting back to normal including Tate's everyday BS!

Hey Dihusky,
I go south every Thursday as part of of my job, but I told my clients that when the games start I am not coming down.
Unfortunately, I was needed last Thursday and made the effort.
Effort, mate it was the fastest trip that I had had in 10 years.
No congestion in the two tunnels, unbelievable, no stopping at Coomera or Southport exit or Nerang.
Got to my appointment 1/2 hour early.
I hope the games stay for another couple of years.
Not a single copper on the road either which I was surprised at.
When I entered the Pacific Hway I thought I was the only car on the road, alas there was 6 others     :p

By the way what happens if the biological male kiwi weight lifter sets a new female weight lifting record ? Will it be official ?

Too right about the para athletes. Good to see some decent coverage for a change.

Just watching the 90kg women weightlifting and the kiwi transgender lass is up and is lifting 10 to 15kg more than her nearest rival.
Must say I have seen prettier men!

couldn't take more on the bar
use of one hand in the clean and jerk should be banned
not sure how long I could watch that snatch it was a farce

Id kill to be able to run half as fast as that Aussie sprinter that just won the para 100metres!
He has cerebral palsy and the poor buggers legs gave out just as he crossed the line.. what an amazing run!

Did you see any of the para swimmers, a guy with one arm would have lapped me in two laps.

You have to hand it to those athletes, I have the greatest admiration for all of them. I just said to my wife that I couldn't swim across the pool never mind the length times whatever number f laps. Congratulations.

Not sure, but watching the transgender athlete during the lift thought she/he may have thrown in the towel on purpose. Give the female born competitors a chance maybe. Credit to the big Kiwi in the men's event. I don't think the Pakistani had it in him at the end.

Caught the end of the run but watched the repeats, didn't initially realise the back story until my wife filled in the gaps, truly remarkable. Think a few of the 'poor me' brigade need to watch and have a long hard think about themselves!!
