Nope, that tiresome teaser promo video shows that it isn't a specialist gold detector.

"Multi-IQ" means it's yet another Minelab coin/treasure/artefact machine. Since they already make 4 models in the Equinox series, 3 models in the Vanquish series and 3 models in the Go-Find series, plus the X-Terra Pro, CTX3030, Manticore and Excalibur II, any excitement about the introduction of a new model/series is likely to be pretty minimal for most people.

That looks to be an Amazon-only special. I don't know whether it is available here in Australia?

It's interesting that Minelab feels the need to release a new model with features like higher-end models but at a lower price and with the selling point that users won't need to upgrade for a while. I wonder whether the Nokta Legend is impacting their market share?

Minelab definitely has real competition in this segment.
And more in the gold detector segment with a new PI from Nokta coming soon, not to mention the E1500.
Minelab may well have to reconsider their pricing structure for their overpriced top end machines.... happy days for those entering the market going forward.

I just had a read about an aussie made tector called Algoforce. Does not come with a coil. Reason being is that not all stock standard coils that come with a machine are suited to purpose, therefore they hand that over to you, you decide what coil you want. Smart idea on two fronts. The buyer gets what coil he wants and the tector manufacturer doesn’t get blamed for not finding gold. I like it.Mackka
