Closest spots to Koroit

Merry Xmas all,
me and swmbo are heading over to Koroit, near Warnambool, for the annual Irish fiddle fest on Jan.1st.
While she's playing the fiddle, I'd like to be out swinging the 5000 somewhere.
Anyone out there with some advice as to where I could find some public areas within an hour or so of Koroit caravan park?
Of course I'd have to be back by beer o'clock to stoke up the barby for those exhausted muso's.
Any advice from you local lads much appreciated.

Hi Aussie , closest to Koroit would be Ararat , plenty of public bush and about 1 hour 45 away
enjoy the Lake School , might see you in a session

G'day Brett, yeah thought of Ararat, but hoped for somewhere a bit closer, you staying in the caravan park, if so be good to meet up for a chat.... what do you play?
