I can't remember the coil name Bogger but if you call the outback prospector and tell JP or he's wife that you were talking to Wayne Holmes and you are after the new coil that JP used on my training course. I've already pre-ordered one.

Cheers guys I'll upload the video to YouTube tonight when I get home from work.

No prob had a look on the website and couldn't find any info ? But sounds like it may be a new coiltek Elite ? Also what was a couple of hours tuition worth as couldn't find anything regards costing of that either whilst looking and was it value for money spent ?
:)

That's the one mate, coiltek elite it's an oval shaped coil. It's $225 for a 2 hour lesson with JP, because I was a beginner I found the lesson pretty good but to be honest I learned more from a guy I met at the caravan park, I had a beer with him in my first night and told him I didn't have a clue what I was doing and he showed me all about my settings on the 5000 and gave me heaps of info on what to look for out in the goldfields but in answer to your question Yes the lesson was good for a crash course but not sure if I'd do it again.

Yes that's the go ...................... if your lucky enough to meet up with some one that's been doing it for years the info is invaluable.
I guess a plug where it's worth in that between Nenad from Phase Tech and also Dean, Dean being from DD leather with about thirty years experience, have found between the wealth of information these to gentlemen of the trade possess I've not needed to look further rather than hone my own skills and put into practice what I have been told. Yes may be a blatant plug but in both these cases both gentleman even with a business to run and a family to feed it goes way beyond being just about a dollar. Have never met either but owe them both a beer or two when I do.
One thing I have learn't is there is just no substitute for hours spent swinging.
You have had a dream start Wayne in that gold found first trip out ........... doesn't get better than that ;)

I met 3 people in the caravan park and 1 guy out in the field that I've become friends with and added on Facebook. 1 of the guys I met showed me some pics of huge nuggets that he got at Palmer
river.
Yeah mate I've had a good start that's for
sure, I can't wait to head up to mt Britton on my mates private claim. I've been doing heaps of research on using a sluice, think I might try get myself a small sluice :D

My mates claim has a creek on it that's why I'm thinking about a sluice

Yes I got a small sluice and have been classifying material and bringing it home and running it thru it. I have a dam so have been just recircing the water thru the sluice and letting it run back down the bank into the dam. Getting the angle of the sluice and the water flow rate correct I have found is the key ;)
Funny story while mucking around and wondering if I had missed any was playing with the SDC on the dam bank and hit gold. Well gold coins at least ............. 2 x Two dollar coins buried in the dam bank :D

Nice, where did you get your sluice from?
yes I think water flow will be my biggest problem, even tho I'm on a private mining lease we still can't use petrol powered water pumps to feed the sluice.

Haha good job on finding the two dollar coins :D

Mines just a little sluicy gold sluice from CWPS ................. think it was only about $70 ..................... no pump . I just use my dam pump or set it up in the creek rapids
Not sure on the laws regarding pumps ?

Ok cool I think I'll be doing the same as you if I get a sluice. I've been doing some reading for the past few hours and worked out I'm not allowed to use any powered pump to feed water into a sluice even in a private claim. Looks like we'll be using my 5000 and a pan next weekend :D
