Hi everyone,

We have some Quartz crystals/jelly beans from the Inverell area that have a dull, cloudy appearance(unless they are wet). Is there a way to make them a bit more shiny? I have tried a soak in Oxalic Acid but that didnt improve things. Any advice greatly appreciated.

They don't need any further cleaning then, now they just need polishing. For that you'll need a gemstone tumbler - search PA for "tumbler" to learn more about them and the materials used in them to make gemstones sparkle. If you don't want to buy a tumbler yourself, you may be able to find a nearby gems/minerals club with a machine you can use.
