Yes, a coin will stop in the bottom of the pan. Not the most efficient coin recovery device though....

I have found an old half penny in my pan while panning for gold so yes you can

Never had a problem with the black sands R.S. But am experiencing similar problems, the gold tends to accumulate but the pesky browns tend to get in the way of a good clean result.

Yeh mate, decided to start hoarding my finds and do a head count 12 months in to see what types/numbers I generated.

Couldn't resist the challenge to drop them in the pan and see what 4 months effort looked like.
