Cable tray sluice

Would cable tray be suitable to use as a slice, with a good mat underneath, housed in a box, with a home made spray bar?

On the Highbanker i built i used Cable Tray Galvanised Steel 150mm x 12mm in the separator box (for the want of a better word having a brain outage) and it seemed to work very well so i don't see why that would not work for you (could not get a photo but on ebay it has a good photo)

Cable trayis used as a classifier, getting rid of thr big rocks. Have a look at the wallbanker thread.
the classified material then falls onto a slick plate to stratify the slurry whichpermits thr gold tofall to the lowest point so mats can collectit.
