That might be a solution if there was unlimited water as you know that is not always the case here in the Australian bush here water is life….
Also a 20 l bucket takes up less room in the back of the truck / wagon
Yep water can be a big issue, To conserve water its best to do all the washing at once starting with the whites and then the colours and then the dark clothes and then rinse in the same order,

Iremember seeing something at a 4x4 show a while back that had a washing machine made from a round 20 ltr drum on rollerswith a crank handle, worked like a charm.

But the bucket on the roof rack, or in the trailer are simple and work.
Have a second lid with a hole and a long handled toilet plunger for manual use.

I used my Camping Washing Machine yesterday and I used one of my medium sized lithium 500wh packs to power it and I set it to maxium on every wash and spin cycle and I did 3 loads this way, and still had power to burn, I like this Gadget because there are no stupid programs and just having 3 knobs to control it makes it as simple as the Old Engels that just had a rotary knob to control them,

Like I said this is one of my Top 5 toys,

Might be good fella, but loses it's appeal when your comparing a couple of K's worth of gadgets up against a couple of bucks worth of plastic bucket to do the same job ? Just saying is all

Totally agree water, space & 240V is limited. Lithium setup right out of the equation $$$? The mentioned in earlier posts, 20 litre bucket and rubber plunger with punched holes does the job perfectly.

yeah fair call doggy, it was an alternative, just like a Tent and a Winnebago.
Yep fully realise that Mak, but just not a very practical one 🤔 for Oz outback stuff. A week in the back of a ute in WA or FNQ and the corrugations would probably kill it and could guarantee the lids would be melted of it  Real world and a glossy camping accessories brochure ...................... worlds apart.

Trouble Is a person spends 60/70K+ on a 4b, 8/10K on a detector, 5 or 600+ on a Coil. 800 to 1500 on a fridge and this thing costs under 200 bucks,, It's half the price of a good sized solar panel,

It's not a must have item but after a long day swinging a coil laundry is the last thing a person wants to be doing and it can do it using just 45w of power. All it does is make life a little bit easier,

To be honest I've had my eye on these for about 4 or 5 years and I kept putting it off thinking they were crap but the truth is it washes better than my front loading house washing machine and it's a lot quieter and cheaper to run. and you can't help getting a few cuts and scraps on ya hands when digging and the last think I want is to be scrubbing clothes with the bark missing off my fingers. 👍

But you can do without the washing machine, not the fridge
In winter yes, Summer No,

Lucky for me my Van has the room and can carry over 800kgs plus towing a caravan allows me to carry another 350/450kgs or if I tow a trailer I can carry a lot more,

I don't think I own enough Camping accessories to get anywhere near my weight limits, I think the Fridge is the heavest bit of kit, Ive replaced my deep cycle batteries with Lithium packs..
